Melanie Schmid will defend her PhD "Interplay between the Malaria Parasite and the Gut Microbiota" on the 14th September from 14.00 (Room H810, H floor, Murtenstrasse 35, Bern)
Melanie is a PhD student in the Department for Biomedial Research and Institute of Cell Biology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. med. Andrew Macpherson and Prof. Dr. Volker Heussler and co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Stephanie Ganal-Vonarburg. Her PhD research was conducted as part of the MCID-funded project "Understanding the interplay between the immune system, the malaria parasite and the microbiota, with a focus on sepsis".
