The MCID is delighted to congratulate Isabel on the successful defence of her PhD, titled “Brain Teasers: Deciphering the Riddles of Viral Neuropathologies Using Human Neural Organoids”.
Isabel completed her doctoral studies at the Institute of Virology and Immunology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marco Alves. Her PhD research was conducted as part of the MCID-funded project "Confronting the rising epidemic of the zoonotic tick-borne encephalitis virus".
