The MCID was once again well represented at the annual GCB Symposium, held at the vonRoll building. Students presented flash talks and posters showcasing MCID-funded projects, as well as research conducted in laboratories led by MCID members.
The day also featured a career development session chaired by MCID co-chair, Prof. Dr. Carmen Faso. The panel brought together five professionals who all began their careers along the traditional academic path but ultimately pursued diverse career trajectories. They shared their experiences and discussed the versatility and adaptability needed to navigate today's evolving job market and an increasingly unpredictable research landscape. The session was rounded off with a Q+A with members of the audience posing questions to the panel.
