On the 15th April 2026, the EPL team took part in the NRP79 3R Fair at Forum Fribourg, a platform for exchange between research and practice on 3R principles (Replace, Reduce, Refine) in animal research.
The event brought together stakeholders from public administration, academia, industry, NGOs, and politics, showcasing current research from the National Research Programme “Advancing 3R” through presentations, videos, and hands-on demonstrations.
Thematic guided tours on innovation, legislation, ethics & society, and politics highlighted different perspectives on the development of 3R principles in Switzerland and encouraged discussion. The EPL team presented its work on the political and ethical analysis of the animal testing debate and engaged in valuable exchanges with participants on key questions and future directions.
