We would like to congratulate MCID members, Prof. Dr. Georgia Salanti and Prof. Dr. Volker Thiel for both being included in the annual list of highly cited researchers. To earn a place on this list, researchers must demonstrate not only sustained excellence but also significant and wide-ranging influence within their areas of expertise. Selection is based on the number of Highly Cited Papers they have authored, i.e. publications that rank among the top 1% most cited for their field and year of publication within the Web of Science Core Collection. Achieving such a concentration of impactful publications over the past eleven years reflects both the quality and the lasting relevance of their research contributions.
