An interactive and interdisciplinary colloquium aimed at advanced bachelor and master students from all disciplines, with teaching from MCID Members of all scientific discipline clusters.
Original development of the course was sponsored by the Englischsprachige Lehraufträge (EnglL) program of the University of Bern Vice-Rectorate International and Academic careers. The first colloquium took place in Autumn 2023; the second colloquium is currently running (September-December 2025).
The course takes place over eight interactive teaching sessions, with a final examination session in which students use their acquired knowledge to prepare group presentations on different pathogens of pandemic potential. See below for an outline of the course.
